Portland native Aaron Pruitt began teaching music and piano in 1997 and became a MAC instructor in 2006.

Aaron’s music training at George Fox University (BS-1993) and Portland State University (MST-2009), along with years of instructional experience, has cultivated a student-focused teaching approach. This approach blends music fundamentals with student interest and provides opportunities of exploration through discovery learning.

Aaron has experience mentoring student in various musical styles (classical, jazz, pop) and musical skills (performance, composition, arranging). He also performs and arranges with local groups when not teaching.

Along with his musical pursuits. Aaron enjoys bicycling, baking bread, and playing charades with his family.
