Rachael Brown

Dance Instructor

Rachael Brown grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and started dancing at the age of three, studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern.

Rachael continued to study dance in Washington, DC, at American University, where she graduated with an Interdisciplinary degree in Theatre and Education. While there, she also performed and choreographed with groups such as Tappening and the Eldbrooke Artist Series.

Upon moving to Portland in 2005, Rachael shifted her focus to teaching dance and running performing arts education programs. She specializes in teaching creative movement, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, and tap and believes in an open environment that allows dancers to experience the true joy of dance.

Outside of MAC, Rachael is also a founding member of the local contemporary dance company, PDX Dance Collective, and a member of the Skylark Tappers.
